Beijing No. 80 High School, set up in 1956, is one of the exemplary high schools and one of the municipal key high schools in Beijing. At present, we have more than 3,000 junior and senior high school students. It has been awarded as the Outstanding School for Art Education in China, the Experiment School for Modern Education Techniques by the Ministry of Education, the Advanced Unit of Education and Scientific Research in China, the member of the Art Golden Sail Group of Beijing, the Jinpeng Science and Technology Group of Beijing, the Scientific and Technological Activity Exemplary School in Beijing, the Advanced School for Moral Education in Beijing and the School of Excellence in Foreign Education Affairs in Beijing, Experiment School of the State Characteristic Education Project in the whole country. In September 2011, the Former President Hu Jintao paid a visit to our school and spoke highly of our School educational model that further promotes our school,s goals and objectives.

Since the establishment of the international department in 2002, Beijing No. 80 High School has always adhered to ideas of taking Beijing at the foothold, facing the whole country and going into the world, by creating a people-oriented international quality education. It promotes the international education on every level through holding foreign students education, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, international cooperation courses, and international exchanges and cooperation, etc, as well as constantly achieving quality individual improvement and results to emerge. In this way, the school establishes a big multicultural family, bringing Chinese and Foreign teachers and students together, and becomes a top international education school in Beijing.

The British Program and AP Program started in 2006 and 2011 in our school, which were integrated with both Chinese and foreign education resources. So far all graduates have entered into top universities in the UK, US and Canada.

Presently, there are more than 400 international students from more than 37 countries and regions in the world. The students graduated from language classes from our school can be found all over the world, Many of the international graduates have enrolled into famous universities in China and foreign countries, such as the Peking University and the Tsinghua University. In 2012, there were 51 graduates of the international department coming from are as such as America、Korea、Japan、South Africa、Hong Kong、Taiwan, etc In the College Entrance Exam, the foreign students lived up to the expectation. Among them, 9 students were admitted to Peking University, 12 students were admitted to Tsinghua University, and 16 students were admitted to Renmin University of China. 5 of them were admitted to both Peking University and Tsinghua University.

北京市第八十中學(xué)創(chuàng)建于1956年，是北京市示范高中和市級(jí)重點(diǎn)中學(xué)，現(xiàn)有初、高中學(xué)生3000多名。學(xué)校先后被評(píng)為全國藝術(shù)教育先進(jìn)校、教育部現(xiàn)代教育技術(shù)實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校、全國教育科研先進(jìn)單位、北京市藝術(shù)金帆團(tuán)、北京市金鵬科技團(tuán)、北京市科技活動(dòng)示范校、北京市德育先進(jìn)校、北京市教育外事工作先進(jìn)單位、國家高中特色建設(shè)項(xiàng)目實(shí)驗(yàn)校和北京市高中特色建設(shè)項(xiàng)目實(shí)驗(yàn)校等。2011年教師節(jié)前夕，時(shí)任國家主席胡錦濤同志來到八十中學(xué)，對我校堅(jiān)持正確辦學(xué)方向，積極探索辦學(xué)規(guī)律，不斷改善辦學(xué)條件，培養(yǎng)出一批又一批優(yōu)秀畢業(yè)生，取得教書育人的可喜成績給予了充分肯定。

2002年，國際部成立以來，始終堅(jiān)持“立足北京，面向全國，走向世界，致力于以人為本的國際化素質(zhì)教育，創(chuàng)辦國際化名校”的辦學(xué)理念，通過舉辦外國學(xué)生教育、對外漢語教學(xué)、國際合作課程和國際交流合作等，全方位推進(jìn)國際教育，不斷實(shí)現(xiàn)著質(zhì)量的提升和成果的涌現(xiàn)，建立了中外師生共聚一堂、多元文化匯集交融的國際化大家庭，成為北京市的國際教育名校。
2006年，學(xué)校創(chuàng)北京教育改革先河，開始舉辦中英高中課程項(xiàng)目，2011年又引入美國AP課程，舉辦了中美高中課程項(xiàng)目，將中外優(yōu)質(zhì)教育資源進(jìn)行整合，形成了具有八十中學(xué)深厚底蘊(yùn)的國際課程特色模式。迄今畢業(yè)生全部以優(yōu)異的成績升入英國、美國、加拿大等著名大學(xué)。

目前，學(xué)校有來自37個(gè)國家和地區(qū)的近400名國際學(xué)生。從我校語言班結(jié)業(yè)的學(xué)生遍布世界各地，歷屆國際畢業(yè)生均以優(yōu)異的成績升入北大、清華等中外名校。2012屆國際部畢業(yè)生共51人，分別來自美國、韓國、日本、南非、中國香港、中國臺(tái)灣等九個(gè)國家和地區(qū)。在外籍學(xué)生高考中，他們不負(fù)眾望，有9名同學(xué)以優(yōu)異的成績考入北京大學(xué)，12名同學(xué)考入清華大學(xué)，16名同學(xué)考入人民大學(xué)。其中有5名學(xué)生同時(shí)被清華和北大錄取。
