Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with national and local
environmental regulations, permits, and corporate environmental policies.
- Manage programs related to air emissions,
wastewater treatment, solid waste disposal, and hazardous waste management.
- Maintain environmental monitoring plans
and coordinate with third-party monitoring agencies.
- Lead environmental risk assessments and
implement pollution prevention measures.
- Manage environmental reporting,
documentation, and permit renewals.
- Support environmental audits and
regulatory inspections, including corrective action follow-up.
- Promote sustainability initiatives,
including energy saving, waste minimization, and carbon reduction measures.
Safety Management (Secondary Responsibility)
- Support site safety programs including
hazard identification and incident reporting.
- Assist in conducting JSAs, safety
inspections, and basic risk assessments.
- Participate in emergency response
planning and drills.
- Provide support for safety-related
training when needed.
Security Management
- Coordinate daily operations of security
personnel, ensuring effective access control and patrol management.
- Assist in maintaining and enforcing site
security procedures and visitor management protocols.
- Monitor contractor access to ensure
compliance with safety and security rules.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical
Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in
environmental management within chemical, manufacturing, or related industries;
experience supporting safety programs and coordinating security personnel is
required.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of environmental
regulations, pollutant discharge standards, hazardous waste management, and
spill response; familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.
Language & Other Skills
Ability to use English as a working
language for communication and reporting; proficient in Microsoft Office;
strong communication and coordination skills.
