Position: Sourcing Manager (mainly Gift Category)
Location: Shenzhen
Purpose:
To strategically build a supplier network with diversified product categories to the brands' business needs and market trend.
To support the merchandising team with supplier resource, new products and trendy market information.
To expand business with existing and new customers.
Major Responsibilities
1. Supplier Management
1)Supplier sourcing and developing
- Build/maintain a strong supplier network, selecting partners via best-in-class criteria (quality, compliance, pricing, sustainability).
- Expand supplier base through proactive research and ethical sourcing practices.
2)Risk & Relationship Management
- Mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., market volatility) through contingency planning.
- Strengthen long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers to secure a stable supply.
2. Product Sourcing
1)Market Analysis & Cost Optimization
- Lead market research to understand customer preferences, industry trends, and external factors (e.g., supply availability, pricing dynamics).
- Support Brands' annual sourcing plans aligned with profit goals, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform category analysis to forecast price trends, budget costs, and recommend optimal procurement channels.
2)Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage short-lifecycle products, integrating product development and sourcing for seamless execution.
- Drive innovation by translating market insights into product roadmaps (feasibility, timelines, cost).
3. Business Development & Expansion
- Support the merchandising team by providing new products, supplier resources, and market information.
- Proactively develop new customers or business domains and expand the service influence and business volume.
4. Supply Chain Optimization and Risk Management
- Focus on long-term supply chain optimization, cost trends, and potential risks (e.g., geopolitical shifts, regulatory changes).
- Partner with CSR team/merchandising team to assure supplier onboard & validation procedure is compliant conducted.
- Support Brands to coordinate the related administration documents including customs recordation, supplier legal documents (SCOC, NDA, Supply agreement, etc).
5. Ad-hoc tasks
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
Major Requirements
-At least bachelor's degree.
-More than 8 years' experience in related fields or in supplier/product sourcing and development, especially gift sourcing background.
-Strategic thinking and high work ethic and attitude.
-Excellent communication, proactive, interpersonal, effective negotiation skills, problem-solving and coordination skills.
-Teamwork orientated, self-motivated, able to work Independently.
-English can be a workable language, Cantonese speaking ability is a plus.
-Good skill in office software and other advanced tools.
-Able to conduct business trips.
