We are currently looking for a research manager to join IDC. This role offers a unique opportunity to analyze and interpret trends in the fast-evolving IT market, providing critical insights that will support strategic decision-making for clients.
You will:
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of cloud computing industry trends, including infrastructure, software, and emerging technologies.
Develop comprehensive market forecasts and reports.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Analysis and Research
-Data Analysis and report writing for Cloud Infrastructure and Services market including cloud practice in industry segments, cloud application scenarios, cloud related delivery services, etc.
-Primary independent research inclusive of data gathering, interviewing, data processing, analysis, and report generation
-Report writing and presentation of findings to IDC clients
-Consulting/custom research projects regionally and nationally
-Final presentations and wrap-ups with clients
-Keeping current with Cloud Infrastructure and Services market trends and new research, such as cloud related new product and service, new application scenarios, etc.
-Insuring quality and timeliness of IDC research deliverables
-Vetting research methodologies and instruments
Business development
-Proactive prospect development including lead generation, project definition and pricing especially with Cloud Infrastructure and Services providers and customers.
-Proposal development, generation, and presentation
Consulting projects
-Collaboration with consulting team on specific projects regionally and nationally
-Final presentations and wrap-ups with clients
-Keeping current with industry trends and new research
-Insuring quality and timeliness of IDC research deliverables
-Vetting research methodologies and instruments
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of ICT industry, particularly in Cloud Infrastructure and Services filed.
- 5-8 years' experience, minimum 3 years cloud product presales/solution manager experience, or ICT market research experiences.
-Good research skills, including data process, forecast and modelling
-Strong in business development and consulting, have ability to raise value-added and actionable recommendations to the clients
-Effective in both verbal and writing(Chinese and English) when presenting / packaging research deliverables to the clients and public
