About the Role:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Process and Quality Engineer with strong hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing to support high-reliability products designed for harsh environments. This role focuses on the production of PCBs, PCBAs (Surface Mount and Through-Hole), Wire Harnesses, and Sub-Assemblies, ensuring robust process control and quality assurance across supplier operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies with a focus on high-reliability applications.
Provide hands-on support for Manual soldering, SMT line process and quality control implementation.
Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 Class 3 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 standards.
Conduct product qualification and reliability testing to meet environmental and durability requirements.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
Perform supplier audits and drive supplier quality improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across various global locations for NPI, process validation and sustainment of quality improvements.
Maintain quality documentation including control plans, FMEAs, and inspection criteria.
Travel to supplier and manufacturing sites (up to 50%) to support quality and process activities.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical or Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics product manufacturing, with hands-on experience in manufacturing processes.
Certified in IPC-A-610 Class 3 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3.
Knowledge across the verticals such as IC Packaging and Testing, Passive and Discrete Components, PCB Fabrication would be added advantage.
Experience with product qualification and reliability testing for harsh environments and failure analysis (preferred).
Expertise in using quality tools such as 8D, Fish bone, 5 Why, RCCA, FMEA, SPC and DOE.
Supplier audit and quality management experience (preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
