We are seeking a senior DMPK scientist
who can play a leading role in driving DMPK strategies as a program
representative for projects from early discovery through to the clinic. The
qualified candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of both in vitro and
in vivo ADME and pharmacokinetics. Being capable of representing DMPK
functional on multidisciplinary project teams and being responsible for
progressing molecules with appropriate ADME properties through lead
optimization to clinical candidate nomination is essential.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
- A Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field. 1~3 years of relevant industry experience is required.
- A strong understanding of ADME and pharmacokinetic principles and experience in supporting drug discovery and development as a DMPK project representative
- Broad understanding of various DMPK-relevant areas such as physicochemical properties, drug-metabolizing enzymes, drug-drug interactions, and qualitative and quantitative bioanalytical techniques.
- Ability to translate data into project relevance, as part of anticipating and
mitigating program challenges, is required. - Experience in M&S tools such as Phoenix, WNL, and Gastroplus is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a can-do attitude.
- Good communication skills in both oral and written forms are
essential.
Job Duties:
1.The candidate will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working closely with other research groups at Sironax, including Medicinal Chemistry, Biology,
Pharmacology, and Toxicology.
2. Ability to formulate program DMPK strategy from hit to candidate selection and ensure project ADME challenges are thoroughly assessed and resolved.
3. Analyzing DMPK experimental data to project teams, functional leaders, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and influence decisions, and help understand complex DMPK-related issues.
4 Providing disciplinary scientific leadership and mentorship for junior scientists.
