Project Management
? Responsible for the overall management of the Projects Department, with the primary goal of ensuring that projects are completed on time, and in full
? Through the department’s Project Managers:
o Develop,establish and communicate the Project Timetable and Milestones for a given project
o Develop,establish and communicate the Project Budget for a given projects.
o Coordinate the efforts of various departments to ensure that the required Project Tasks are completed on time and in full
o Monitor project progress, and provide feedback on project delays and/or cost overruns to stakeholders
? Troubleshoot and develop contingencies with Project Managers to
o Balance operational challenges and customer requirements
o Resolve operational conflicts between project stakeholders
o Manage project crisis situations
? Ensure that the Project Administration Team, comprising of Logistics Administrator, Project Cost Analyst, and Project Administrator, support Project Managers in the completion of their Project Tasks
Project Management Strategies &Policies
? Plan,direct, coordinate, and lead the develop of Project Management Strategies and Policies for the company
? Communicate and share Project Management Strategies and Policies to department staff and other stakeholders
? Ensure that Project Management Strategies and Policies are strictly adhered to by department staff and other stakeholders
? Collect periodic feedback from other departments, sharing, analysing and interpret them to guide the development of new Project Management Strategies and Policies, or to update existing ones
? Develop the Department’s Annual Budget for submission to the Finance Department
HR Management
? Responsible for the ensuring that the department is adequately staffed to meet project management requirements, overseeing the selection and hiring of department staff
? Responsible for setting the KPIs and executing the Performance Evaluation of all department staff, make recommendations for the rewarding of high-performers and managing the performance of non-performers
? Responsible for ensuring that all department staff abide by the company’s HR Policies, and metering out the necessary disciplinary action to staff for non-compliance
? Collaborate with the HR Department to develop the necessary Training and Development strategies and plans for the department, and execute finalised and approved training plans
? In conjunction with Performance Evaluations, make proposals to HR for progression and succession planning
