Formally established in June 2022, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)(HKUST(GZ)) is a cooperatively-run university between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. HKUST(GZ) has obtained approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and become the first legally-independent educational institution co-established by the Mainland and Hong Kong since the announcement and implementation of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the “Overall Plan for Deepening Globally Oriented Comprehensive Co-operation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha of Guangzhou”. With a spirit of pioneering innovation, HKUST(GZ) charts new territories in cross-disciplinary education and explores new frontiers in pedagogies, aiming to serve as a role model of the mainland-Hong Kong integrated educational development and become a world-famous high-level university, endeavoring to nurture future-oriented, high-level and innovative talents.
In response to the increasingly complex challenges faced by the rapidly changing world, HKUST(GZ) adopts a brand-new and cross-disciplinary academic structure featuring “Hub” and “Thrust” to substitute the conventional one characterized by “school” and “department”, facilitating cross-disciplinary integration while vigorously developing emerging and frontier disciplines. This is a groundbreaking move in the higher education community across the globe.
The Information Hub focuses on addressing global challenges arising from human interactions with information and technology in today's digital transformation era. We are committed to providing world-class education and conducting cutting-edge research with practical applications in information science and technology that not only advance regional development but also make a global impact. The Hub primarily comprises four thrust areas: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science and Analytics (DSA), Internet of Things (IoT), and Computational Media and Arts (CMA). We will achieve this mission through cross-disciplinary research and education in collaboration with other thrust areas in our Guangzhou campus and related programs in our Clearwater Bay campus.
The Information Hub is now looking for a self-motivated and capable individual to fill the Administrative Officer (Industry Collaboration) position. The appointee will provide all-round administrative support in all matters pertaining to the event organization of education and research programs in Information Hub, to support the development of education and research programs of Information Hub. The appointee will initially be stationed in the mainland in Nansha, GZ.
Duties
1. Responsible for mapping faculty research expertise to industry needs, establishing and maintaining a faculty research database;
2. Organize and execute industry matchmaking events (e.g., Pitch Days) to foster university-industry collaboration and technology transfer;
3. Facilitate the application, management, and implementation of industry grant projects, promoting joint industry-academia research initiatives;
4. Drive the establishment and operation of joint industry-academia laboratories, supporting collaborative R&D and outcome incubation;
5. Manage and promote Industry PhD Fellowship programs to facilitate the joint cultivation of high-level industry talent;
6. Establish and maintain relationships with key regional enterprises to expand the collaboration ecosystem;
7. Assist in developing and executing promotional materials and partnership proposals related to industry collaboration;
8. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
任職要求:
Qualification Requirements
1. A master's degree or above with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in industry collaboration, technology transfer, corporate relations, or a related field;
2. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines;
3. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, competent in cross-cultural communication and collaboration;
4. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to understand and bridge academic research with industry needs;
5. Good organizational, coordination, and negotiation skills; proven experience in successfully driving university-industry collaboration projects is preferred;
6. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.);
7. A strong team player, meticulous, proactive, and self-motivated;
8. Keen interest in technological innovation and industrial development, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST(GZ) entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations.
