Principal responsibilities
Principal responsibilities
- Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilizing their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand.
- Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction.
- Provide estimates for development efforts from design documents.
- Assign tasks to team members and provide effective supervision to ensure the delivery of projects on time and in budget with appropriate quality.
- Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
- Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
- Is responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions, internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior.
- Participate in intra-day and overnight (rarely, when called) support.
- Supervise the rectification of production system issues with the minimum disruption to the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
- Experience on data warehouse system development , operational and management.
- A Strong knowledge of Agile development and Devops tool .
- Should have hands on experiuence on DataStage / Spark / Cloud development .
- Should have deep knowledge of Python , SQL
- Hands on experience of CI/D pipelines, modern deployment and release methodologies including automated configuration and provisioning at scale.
- Good communication/presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with different groups of stakeholders and external vendors.
- Strong team player who has the ability to work independently and proactively.
