YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate Pharmaceuticals China’s business strategy into integrated communication frameworks that balance global brand consistency and local market relevance.
- Proactively identify leadership communication needs via participation in key strategic planning sessions, positioning communication as a key enabler that supports long-term business goals.
- Oversee end-to-end execution of priority communication initiatives to drive measurable business and reputation impact.
- Develop strategy-aligned content assets (executive speeches, internal/external messaging, multimedia) to support critical business initiatives and leadership priorities.
- Support crisis communication management by delivering timely scenario analysis and mapping, developing targeted response messaging, and engaging media and KOLs to safeguard brand reputation and ensure business continuity.
- Oversee and handle internal and external communications initiatives (media interviews, external speaking, townhall, CDH messages, etc.) for the PH ExCo member.
- Support the Pharmaceuticals division in developing and maintaining relationships with key media contacts in China, ensuring Bayer’s narrative is effectively communicated to target audiences.
- Provide real-time strategic communication support for critical leadership activities (up to 50% travel requirement) to ensure on-site alignment and stakeholder resonance.
- Innovation Collaboration
- Benchmark industry best practices and analyze market landscape trends (regulatory, competitive, stakeholder expectations) to refine communication strategies.
- Explore innovative tools (e.g., generative/agentic AI) and approaches to unlock new engagement opportunities and optimize communication efficiency.
- Cultivate a unified communication ecosystem by aligning internal stakeholders (PH leadership, global comms, cross-functional teams) and external partners (media, KOLs, industry associations, government stakeholders).
- Drive proactive stakeholder rapport-building to shape positive brand perception and support strategic business initiatives.
- VACC Leadership
- Act as VACC Leader for PH Communications team, steering strategic alignment, capability building and a culture of excellence in communication practice.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in communications or public relations, preferably within healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin; ability to craft compelling narratives and multimedia contents to engage diverse audiences. Generative and Agentic AI tools capabilities are surplus.
- Proactive and passionate personality. Strong rapport building with ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
