Job Posting: Senior Accountant

Position Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Saudi Arabia
Reports to: Project Finance Manager
Department: Finance Department
1. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with solid financial expertise and familiarity with both Middle Eastern and Chinese financial and tax environments to join our project team in Saudi Arabia. This role will assist the Project Finance Manager in overseeing comprehensive project financial management, accounting, tax compliance, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will ensure all financial operations comply with local Saudi regulations and relevant Chinese financial and tax requirements, supporting the efficient and compliant execution of the project.
2. Key Responsibilities
●Assist the Project Finance Manager in daily project financial operations, including but not limited to bookkeeping, financial reporting, cost control, and budget monitoring.

●Handle tax declarations, tax planning, and compliance to ensure adherence to Saudi local tax laws and relevant Chinese tax regulations.

●Manage financial dealings with local banks, auditing bodies, and government authorities, maintaining positive external relationships.

●Participate in project financial analysis and provide accurate, timely financial data to support decision-making.

●Support the improvement of internal financial control procedures to ensure standardized operations and effective risk management.

●Assist in project audits, financial settlement, and documentation management.

●Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
3. QualificationsMandatory Requirements:
●Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.

●Minimum of three years of accounting/finance experience, including at least two years in project finance or accounting within Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.

●In-depth knowledge of Saudi financial and tax regulations; familiarity with Chinese Accounting Standards and tax policies.

●Strong command of English (both written and spoken) as a working language.

●Proficient in financial software (e.g., SAP) and MS Office, with strong data analysis skills.

●Responsible, with excellent communication, coordination, teamwork, and cross-cultural adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications:
●Familiarity with Arabic for daily communication or professional use.

●Experience in finance roles within Chinese overseas projects or international engineering project finance.

●Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA.
