RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Evaluate the feasibility of selected concepts to meet functional, cosmetic and customer needs.
2. Design, develop and prototype new products in accordance with company & customer product development process.
3. Evaluate the feasibility of concepts and/or prototypes through DFM/DFMEA/DOE engineering testing and analysis, consistent with customer expectations.
4. Develop timelines for development tasks and appraise performance against plan.
5. Evaluate, document, and implement potential design and process changes to improve product performance, manufacturability.
6. Supervise tooling design.
7. Assess reliability, safety, performance and risk of new designs & methodologies; Coordinate and communicate development schedules and compatibility or design issues throughout the team continuously.
8. Provide input into the creation/modification of product specifications in alignment with customer requirements.
9. Transfer of designs to manufacturing through liaison with manufacturing engineering
10. Pull-in and drive application of latest materials, processes & agile methodologies
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar position a must - preferably from mobile accessory, automotive interior, footwear, fashion or EMS industry.
2. Strong knowledge of technology platforms and systems
3. SolidWorks or ProE
4. Demonstrated leadership roles in previous positions.
5. Previous team management and supervision
6. Excellent public presentation and interaction skills
7. Client interaction
8. General project management skills
9. Excellent in reporting (PPT, Keynote)
