The Wellhead Maintenance chief is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of wellhead equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. This role requires a deep understanding of the mechanics and operations of wellheads, as well as a commitment to maintaining industry standards for oil and gas production infrastructure. Strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety procedures, and the ability to work in challenging environments are essential for success in this position. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and other field staff to ensure maintenance tasks align with operational goals and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
? Overhaul and recertification of Xmas Tree and Wellhead related equipment
? Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance of wellheads to ensure functionality.
? Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair wellhead equipment malfunctions to prevent downtime.
? Collaborate with engineering teams to implement effective maintenance solutions for equipment.
? Document maintenance activities and prepare detailed reports on equipment condition.
? Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and operational protocols at all times.
? Participate in emergency response operations and assist in resolving critical incidents promptly.
? Develop and update maintenance procedures to optimize wellhead performance and reliability.
? Monitor wellhead performance metrics and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
? Assist in training junior technicians on maintenance techniques and safety protocols.
? Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements in maintenance.
? Ensure clear communication with field operations teams regarding maintenance schedules and updates.
Requirements
? Minimum of 5 years experience in wellhead maintenance or similar roles.
? Strong mechanical and technical skills with a focus on wellhead systems.
? Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
? Proven track record of maintaining safety and compliance in field operations.
? Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in equipment diagnosis.
? Ability to work in physically demanding environments and handle complex tools or machinery.
