ER Generalist (AWF)
Job Description
The ER Generalist is responsible for maintaining functional and subject matter expertise within the area of Employee Relations. She/he provides counselling, coaching and guidance as they support managers and employees on Employee Relations related topics. The ER generalist serves as a focal point and works closely with People Business Partners, Legal and other COEs such as, Comp & Benefits, and TA and may also be responsible for external Vendor Management. She/he is a key contributor in streamlining and standardizing HR policies and practices to enable the HR organization to be more effective in managing human capital.
Responsibilities
? Provides inquiry consultation to managers and employees regarding the interpretation of policies and programs, employment legislation, compliance, and operational effectiveness and improvements.
? Supports ER case management around topics of performance management, professionalism, policy violations, and restructuring as needed.
? Supports investigations of raised employee relations complaints, grievances, and ethics notices (e.g., discrimination, harassment, retaliation) as needed.
? Supports the management of relationships and concerns related to external labor authorities and vendors.
Prerequisite Knowledge & Proficiencies:
? Knowledge and understanding of China Labor Law and Labor Contract Law, including its interpretation, implementation, and employment practices.
? Broad, general HR knowledge is demonstrated through the ability to independently mitigate business, reputational and financial risks.
? Passionate about people, with good listening, probing, and investigatory skills to handle complex, sensitive inquiries and conversations with discretion, composure, and compassion.
? Strong analytical approach and adept at troubleshooting, with the ability to analyze large amounts of detailed information and diagnose problems.
? Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural, global organization and to build strong, trust-based relationships with remote client groups and colleagues,
? A quick leaner and adaptable to AI and Google Documents.
Requirements
? 2+ years of HR experience, with ER experience being a plus.
? Experience working with remote teams is preferred.
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
? Proficient in English, both oral and written.
? Skilled in using AI solutions.
